PICAYUNE —
Sergeant Carl Sampson will be featured on the “To Learn The Bible” television program Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011 at 5:30 a.m. over WLOX-TV in Biloxi. Sampson, a specialist with A Company 890th Engineering Battalion, who was injured while serving with his Mississippi National Guard unit in Iraq, will give his personal testimony.
Because Sergeant Sampson has inspired others with his bravery and dedication to his country, he will be honored with the title of “Mr. Inspiration 2011” during the 11 a.m. service at the First Baptist Church of Carriere this Sunday.
Dr. Chuck Kelly, President of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, along with other well-known leaders will be participating with the program to help with the presentation.
As a surprise, another person will be named “Miss Inspiration 2011” during Sunday’s service.
In honor of Veterans Day an American Flag will be dedicated after the service. The church will then celebrate with a Dinner on Grounds, and everyone is invited to stay for good food and fellowship.
For more information call the church at 601-798-6301.
