Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church, 921 Baylous St. in Picayune, proudly announces the 12th Year Anniversary Appreciation Service for their Pastor and First Lady the Rev. Delbert and Sis. Jeanne Hall.
The pubic is cordially invited to the anniversary services to honor the pastor for his many years of pastoral service.
The anniversary celebration events are scheduled as follows:
— Friday, Aug. 17: Preach-A-Rama featuring 10 messengers.
— Saturday, Aug. 18: A gospel Musical with outstanding groups.
Each service begins at 7 p.m.
The anniversary celebration culminates at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19 with Guest Speaker Dr. Lewis E. Ragins, Sr., of The Morning Star Baptist Church in Gulfport, Miss. Dr. Ragins was Pastor Hall’s own pastor and mentor.
He will be joined by the the Morning Star Singers.
Pastor Hall stated that is very proud that Dr. Ragins will be the messenger. “Our church family says “To God be the Glory”, and that it is hard to believe a years has come and gone since we gathered for an occasion like this. “We give all praise and honor to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
The Halls are very thankful, and thank God for his many blessings over the years. Pastor Hall’s philosophy is to be an effective pastor through sound teaching of Biblical principles, being guided by the Holy Spirit, and providing spiritual leadership by example. Dr. Hall’s wish is for all of God’s people to be saved and to grow in Grace and knowledge.
The Halls are very happy to serve the Lord, the church, and God’s people. The Pilgrim Bound Church family would like to acknowledge that they love and apprciate their Pastor and 1st Lady, the Rev. Delbert and Mrs. Jeaanne Hall, and offer inspiration from 1st Cornithians, Chapter 15:58, which states, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for as much as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”

World Day of Prayer service held March 1
The United Methodist Women of Picayune First United Methodist Church hosted their annual World Day of Prayer Service and Luncheon on Friday, March 1.
Men and women of several faiths attended, and were joined throughout the world by others who came together with the common purpose of observing the importance of prayer. The guest speaker, Robin Smith Moody, a former member of FUMC, gave her testimony by sharing her witness and through her music. Robin is a member of Barn Church of Poplarville. -
World Day of Prayer service set
The United Methodist Women (UMW) of First United Methodist Church of Picayune invite the public to attend a World Day of Prayer service and luncheon on Friday, March 1.
Robin Smith Moody, a former member of First Methodist, will be the speaker. She states that she and her husband, Buddy Moody, both know that God has called them to minister in Jesus’ name in their day-to-day lives. -
