PICAYUNE — 9-11 memorial service set

St. Barnabas Anglican Church, in Picayune, is holding a memorial service to remember both the fallen and the survivors of the 911 attacks,  Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. The church is located at 201 Norwood Street, between Goodyear Boulevard and West Canal. A free-will offering will be collected to aid those who continue to suffer after Hurricane Isaac, in the memory of 911. Refreshments will be served after the service.

Women’s conference slated

Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church WIA and Jr. Women’s Auxiliary Women’s Conference is at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, and Saturday, Sept. 15. Registration is 8-9 a.m. Early registration fee of $10 extended to Sept. 9, after that, the fee is $15. For more information, call Gretchen Parker at 601-347-5286.

Angel Tree fundraiser

First Baptist Church of Carriere is taking orders for homemade lemon, strawberry and almond pound cakes as a fund raiser for Angel Tree children. Cakes are $10 each, delivery or pick-up. For more information or to order, call 601-798-6301.

RLC preschool taking apps

Resurrection Life Church Life Academy Preschool for ages 2-4 is taking applications. Classes are 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Thursday, cost is $140 a month. Come by church office for an application.

First Baptist  Church of Picayune WEE School has openings in the 2, 3 and 4 year old classes for 2012-13 school year. For more information, call Cindy Bennett at 601-916-9330.

Pre-school openings

First Baptist Church of Carriere Pre-School has openings in the 2-3 and 4-year-old classes. Mon.-Thurs. 8:30-11:30. For more information call the church office at 601-798-6301.

Classes offered at Manna

Manna Ministries is offering computer classes and financial guidance. To register for classes or more information, call 601-799-2121.
