PICAYUNE — Missionary duo at Mt. Calvary

Missionaries from Mexico, Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Williams will be the guest speakers at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 310 Mitchell St. in Picayune, Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012 during the morning worship service. Everyone is invited. Fellowship and refreshments will follow the service.

Weems Black History program

Weems Chapel UMC Black History program is at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25. Guest speaker is the Rev. Linda Blakely, guest choir is Salvation Singers.

World Day of Prayer service

First United Methodist Church hosts World Day of Prayer service and luncheon noon-1 p.m. Friday, March 2. Luncheon is $5 a person. Call 601-798-4321 for luncheon reservations.

St. Joseph Altar slated

St. Charles Catholic Church hosts a St. Joseph Altar on 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, March 18.

MOP meets at FBC Picayune

First Baptist Church of Picayune mothers of pre-schoolers meet 9:30-11:30 a.m. 1st and 3rd Fridays. Childcare provided at the Link, mothers meet in the fellowship hall. For more information, call Dawn at 601-749-5926.

Heritage Day program set

Pleasant Valley Baptist Church will celebrate Black History Month with a Heritage Day Program, Saturday February 25, 2012 at 1 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. There will be Gospel and Spiritual singing, Heritage Poetry, and Key Note Speaker Evangelist Kimberly Chapman of Ambassadors for Christ Church in Picayune. Black History Program

Anointed Dove Worship Center, located at 18 Stafford Road in Picayune, will host the unity fellowship of churches Black History Educational Program on Sunday, February 26, at 5 p.m. Poetry, singing, dancing and portrayals of some of the greatest leaders in America's History will be shared with the community.

Men’s Bible Study formed

Bishop Anthony S. Pressley III, Senior Pastor of Anointed Dove Ministries, cordially invites the men of the community to the 9 a.m. Sunday Morning Bible Study, on February 26, 2012. An exclusive class has been established, only for men. The church is located at 18 Stafford Road in Picayune.
