CENTRALIA — Vivian L. Cohlmeyer, 88, of Centralia, passed away at 6:25 p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2012, at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospial in Centralia.
She was born Sept. 28, 1924, in Montezuma, Iowa, daughter of Arthur and Edna (Dwyer) Tade. She married Robert D. Cohlmeyer on Oct. 9, 1948, in Richview, and he survives in Centralia.
In addition to her husband of 64 years, Mrs. Cohlmeyer is survived by a daughter, Sandra Smith and husband Frederick of Carriere, Miss.; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Allen Palm, Jill Smith, Kimberly Lizana, and Jessica Smith; and four great-grandchildren, Tyler Ray, Emily Smith, Brailey Jones and McKinley Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Vernard Tade.
Mrs. Cohlmeyer was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Lady of the Elks, and Eastern Star.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Irvin Funeral Home Chapel in Centralia with the Rev. Lisa Hart officiating. Interment will follow at Richview Cemtery.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Elks Children's Care Corporation fund or Shriners Hospitals for Children and will be accepted at the funeral home.
