POPLARVILLE —
James “Jim” Harril Fishback, Jr., 75, of Picayune, Miss., passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012 in Poplarville.
A Memorial Service will be held at Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 1 p.m. with Dr. Tim Mims and Steven Foster officiating.
Mr. Fishback was a retired mechanic for Brockway Standard. After retirement his daily routine was to have coffee each morning outside with his pets. He always had a smile on his face and will be missed by all who knew him. He loved spending time with his family. Although he will be missed, his family finds comfort knowing he is with the love of his life, his wife of fifty-six years, Barb.
He was preceded in death by: his father, James H. Fishback, Sr.; and his wife, Barbara Fishback.
He is survived by: his mother, Dorothy Fishback of Carmi, Ill.; four sons: Rick (Phyllis) Fishback of Carriere, Miss., Charles (Donna) Fishback of Carriere, Gary (Lori) Fishback of Picayune, Miss., and Don Fishback of Picayune; daughters, Sherry Lee ( Steven) Foster of Picayune and Jamie (Dennis) Morgan of South Carolina; sister, Cuma Elaine Simmons of Carmi; twelve grandchildren: Marvin, Richard, Ashlee, Shawn, Lacy, Tanner, Chris, Amy, Brent, Blake, Clay and Casey; and seven great-grandchildren: Brady, Colt, Daxton, Lacyi, Emma, Shawn, Jr., and Brandon.
The family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice for their loving care of our father and us. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the SPCA, 1700 Palestine Road, Picayune, MS 39466.
