PICAYUNE — The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want…Psalm 23:1

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Rose of Sharon Church of God in Christ for Mr. Anthony Ray Baker, 59, of Picayune, who passed away peacefully on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Tulane University Hospital.

The Rev. Clinton Baker will officiate at the service, assisted by Pastor Elder David Simmons.

Anthony was born October 3, 1953 to the late Charlie Ray and Myrtle Taylor Baker.

A native of Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua, he was a member of St. James AME Church and a United States Army Veteran where he had many special honors that included: National Defense Service Medal and a recognized Sharpshooter with M-16 Rifle.

He also impacted many lives and made many friends throughout his dedicated service with previous employers such as Schwegmann Giant, Allied Enterprises of Harrison, Southmark CRCA Health Care Fund, Milbrook Golf and Country Club, and Walmart and Associates.

He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving wife, Felecia Baker of Picayune; one daughter, Millicent Baker of Picayune; and two sons, Anthony Ray Baker II, and Christopher Mikhail Baker both of Picayune. He also leaves behind: three sisters, Vanessa Shashid of Miami, Fla., Dr. Cappie Baked of Los Angeles, Calif., and Rudis "Pumkin"; Bonner of Picayune; and three brothers, Ramirez Baker of Natchez, Miss., Ronald Taylor of Toronto, Canada, and Winston (Lynn) Baker of Sacramento, Calif.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Interment will be in the Picayune Cemetery with Military Honors.
