Funeral services will be held Friday, February 15, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Green Grove Baptist Church for Eddie D. Henry, 72, of Poplarville, Miss., who passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 at Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg, Miss.
The Rev. Joey Mark will officiate at the service. Burial will be in the Rosa Park Cemetery under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
A native of Sandy Hook, Miss., he was a Mechanic. He was a member of the Green Grove Baptist Church. He was a member of the brotherhood and sung in the male chorus.
Survivors include: his loving mother, Emma Henry Smith of Poplarville; three sons, Henry Lee (Ivy) Smith of Jackson, Tenn., Ben (Kimberly) Henry of Spring, Ga., and Melvin Henry of Poplarville; two daughters, Marie (Aubrey) Bowden of Poplarville and Mary (Cedric) Milnder of Marietta, Ga.; six brothers, L.Z. Henry of Lumberton, Miss., Harry Henry and Joseph (Elizabeth) Henry of Poplarville, Leroy (Debra) Henry of Bogalusa, La., and the Rev. John L. Henry of Jackson, Miss.; one step-brother, Curtis (Janice) Smith of Slidell, La.; four sisters, Lee Bertha Poole, Emma Marie Williams, Everlean Sharpe, and Carrie (Lee) Percy all of Poplarville.
He leaves to cherish his memory: 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and many wonderful friends.
Visitation will be Friday, February 15, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Green Grove Baptist Church in Poplarville.
