Henleyfield — Funeral services for Wayne Mitchell, 72, of Henleyfield, Miss., who passed away Friday, February 1, 2013, were held Monday, February 4, 2013 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Henleyfield. Visitation was held Sunday, February 3, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home. Burial was held in Henleyfield Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home. A native of Pearl River County, Miss., he was a Building Contractor and a member of First Baptist Church of Henleyfield. Wayne was a loving father and a great man. He owned Mitchell Trucking and Mitchell Homes. He loved hunting, fishing, and playing golf. He was preceded in death by: his father, Wellon Mitchell; his mother, Effie Barber Mitchell; his sister, Betty Horner; his brother, Ron Mitchell; and one grandson, Craig Hayman. Survivors include: his wife, Marilyn Mitchell; one son, Jarrett (Teresa) Mitchell; his daughter, Kimberly (Mitz) Cutrer; six grandchildren, Ashlee, Jeremy, and Shelby Mitchell, Kaley, Cody, and Cameron Cutrer; two great-grandchildren, Bryson and Natalie Mitchell; one brother, James Mitchell; and nieces and nephews.
