Memorial Services will be held Friday September 3, 2010 at 4 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel for Mary E. Smith, 73, of Picayune, who passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2010 in Picayune. Services are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home. Pastor Dale Clabaugh will officiate at the service.
She was born in Thurston County, Neb. She was a Loss Prevention/Claims Clerk for AAFES and a member of Church of the Way.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, James L. Hunter and Delores A. Underwood Hunter; and one sister, Doris Ellwood.
Survivors include: her husband of 53 years, Paul F. Smith of Picayune; her children, Duane Smith of Picayune, Cindy Painter of Stockbridge, Ga., and Anita Brown of Fitzgerald, Ga.; three grandchildren; her sisters, Wanda Gibson of Joplin, Mo., Ardis Matthews of Joplin, Valora Wheeler of Joplin, and Karen Godfrey of Joplin; and her brothers, Wayne Hunter of Blanchard, Mich., Alvis Hunter of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Jimmy Hunter of Kennesaw, Ga.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 3, 2010 from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.
