PICAYUNE —
Funeral Services for Easter Lily Rester, 103, of Picayune, Miss., who passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012, will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Monday, December 3, 2012 from 6-9 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church; a second visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 12 p.m. until service time.
Burial will be in Rester Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
A native of Progress Community, Miss., she was a Homemaker and a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. She loved plants and working in her nursery, Rester's Nursery later renamed in her honor to Easter's Nursery.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Pridgen P. and Mary Christina Odom; her husband of 70 years, Roscoe H. Rester; her daughter, Christine R. Lee; her two sons, Hayward Rester and Terry Rester; and her grandson, Mark Mosteller.
Survivors include: her three daughters, Marjorie R. Sparks, Louise R. Kirkland and her husband Elvin, and Barbara Pat Dale; her two sons, David Rester and his wife Jane, and Conrad Rester and his wife Rhonda; her 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren.
