A native of Picayune, Miss., he was a member of Salem Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. Cris was first and foremost a Christian. He believed strongly in having his family in church. Cris left a great testimony for others to follow. He was a loving and kind father who enjoyed riding 4-wheelers with his two girls through the fields and spending quality time with them. Cris was a 1988 graduate of Pearl River Central High School and he married the love of his life on June 12, 1993. Cris was an absolute joy to be around. He was always the one who could be relied upon to “lighten” the load. He loved to play golf with his family and was an amateur chef where he enjoyed cooking and creating new food surprises for family and friends. In his spare time, he enjoyed creating beautiful mantles and other furniture. Cris worked as an Investment Broker for J.P. Morgan Chase in Slidell. He was a former contractor and formerly the manager of Salem House Restaurant.
He was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Lovell Pete Johnson, Curtis Lee, and Ina Lee; and his sister, Darla Gayle Lee.
Survivors include: his wife, Kristen Garland Lee; his daughters, Jenna Morgan Lee and Mallory Noel Lee; his parents, Jeff and Ginger Lee; his brothers, Jeffery (Debbie) Lee, and Randall (Stacie) Lee; his grandmother, Hattie Fern Johnson; and 10 nieces and nephews, Marrissa, Christina, Jody, Bryce, Kyle, Ryan, Cecily, Brandon, Delaney, and Shea.
