POPLARVILLE —
Kenneth Randall Rester, Sr., 88, of Hattiesburg, Miss., passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 in Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg.
Mr. Rester was a retired Businessman; a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Hattiesburg and the Hut Sunday School Class; former President and Member of Coast Electric Power Association; and a United States Navy Air Corps Veteran.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Fred Randall and Letha Flynt Rester; one daughter, Linda Lou Rester; and one sister, Helen Riley.
Survivors include: his wife, Patricia Monnier Rester; four sons, Kenneth Randall (Loretta) Rester, Jr., Kenneth Gregory (Vickie) Rester, Steven Corey (Tammy) Rester, and Timothy James (Julie) Rester; three daughters, Cindy Lou (Doug) Southern, Patricia Lynne Lindsey, and Rebeccah Lea (Joseph) Ladner; one step-son, Michael (Hazel) DiCarlo; two step-daughters, Julie (Tim) Rester and Angela DiCarlo; 21 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, MS 39470 with interment following in Rester Cemetery.
Visitation was held 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
