CARRIERE — Brenda Gail Wilkes, 59, of Carriere passed away Saturday, November 21, 2009 at her residence. A Private Service will be held at a later date.
Brenda, a native of Alabama, moved here from Massachusetts six years ago. She was a furniture retailer and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Charles Wallace; and brother, Jerry Wallace.
She is survived by: her mother, Evelyn Lucas Decareaux of Pearl River, La.; step-mother, Ruth Wallace of New Orleans; one son, Claude “Chip” Wilkes, Jr. of San Jose, Calif.; one daughter, Chantal Wilkes Speziale of Pearl River, La.; seven brothers, Danny Decareaux of Alabama, Michael Wallace of Carriere, Douglas Wallace of Costa Rica, James Wallace of Slidell, La., Charles Wallace of Alexandria, La., David Wallace of California, and Paul Wallace of New Orleans; two sisters, Cheryl Wallace of Texas and Shawn Decareaux of Connecticut; and five grandchildren.
