PICAYUNE —
Cathrin W. Smith, 69, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012 at CHP Hospice in Defiance, Ohio.
She was born April 13, 1943 in Henleyfield, Miss., the daughter of William Edward and Ruby (Jarrell) Perry. On January 15, 1960, she married Hirian C. Smith, who preceded in her in death on August 28, 2011. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Paulding.
She was preceded in death by her father and husband.
She is survived by: her mother, Ruby Ferguson, Henleyfield, Miss.; a son, Tracy Smith, of Paulding; a daughter, Regena (Gerald) Butler of Euless, Texas; two sisters, Linda (Harold) Smith, of Laurel, Miss., and Hazel Darsey of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Paulding, with Pastor Drew Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Paulding Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding, and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church.
Donations may be made to the Emmanuel Baptist Church Building Fund.
