PICAYUNE —
Alvin Frank Solari, Jr., 92, of Metairie, La. passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Southeast Louisiana War Veterans Home.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 22, 2012 from 9-10:30 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, October 22, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Picayune with Father Mike Snyder officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.
Alvin retired from Sears after 20 plus years, was a past member of the National Guard, and a retired Major in the U.S. Air Force where he was a pilot.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Solari, Sr. and Francis Flynn Solari.
He is survived by: his wife Clevie Solari of Metairie; two daughters, Allene Marie Gottesman of Tennessee and Mary Francis Barr of Georgia; one sister, Amelia Werner of Tennessee; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
