Funeral services will be held Friday, February 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. at New Hebron Baptist Church for Bryant Keith Tyson, 51, who passed away Friday, February 1, 2013 at Forrest General Hospital, in Hattiesburg, Miss., surrounded by his loving family.
Pastor K. Martin Thomas will officiate at the service.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Interment will be in the New Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery, Carriere, Miss.
Bryant was born November 14, 1961 to the late Mrs. Eula Bell Tyson in Carriere. He was the eldest born of eleven children.
He was a graduate of Pearl River Central High School in Carriere where he was a member of the Pearl River Central Blue Devils. Bryant accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age and began his Christian journey. He was baptized at New Hebron Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. A.D. Jackson. He was a lifelong member of the Carriere Community and was reared by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Clyde Lee Tyson.
Bryant was a hard worker, he was motivated and determined. Upon graduation he returned to P.R.C. as a janitor. From there he obtained a job working at Bro Brothers as a heavy equipment operator. He also worked with Clay Stockstill Construction.
He was preceded in death by: his loving mother, Eula B. Tyson; three brothers, Vincent, Edward, and Sherman (four brothers died at birth); maternal grandparents, Robert and Clyde Lee Tyson; one aunt, Bobbi Ann Tyson Devane; one uncle, Robert Tyson Jr.; and one nephew, Damion Jones.
Bryant leaves to cherish his loving memories: five sisters, Linda Jones, Mary Jones, Cynthia Tyson (Manuel) Marshall, Ida Tyson (Arthur) Kennedy, and Cheryl Tyson, all of Picayune; three aunts, Ida Slaughter, Alice Faye Tyson of Houston, Texas, and Joann Tyson of Picayune; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He leave to mourn two special friends, Mrs. Irene of McNeill, Miss., and Belinda McGill of Picayune.
