Reverend Borzzell Langham

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Greater Pleasant Valley Baptist Church for the Reverend Borzzell Langham, 78. The Rev. Thomas Stubbs will officiate at the service.
He was born August 22, 1934 to the late Mrs. Etta Mae and Mr. Fate Langham in Picayune, Miss. Our heavenly Father sent his death angels to escort the Rev. Langham to his heavenly home on Thursday, January 24, 2013 embraced by his loving family.
The Rev. Langham was a graduate of George Washington Carver High School. He joined the United States Army in 1957 and received an honorable discharge. He united in holy matrimony to Miss. Audrey Brown Langham. The Reverend Langham accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age and began his Christian journey. He participated in many facets on this journey. He was a Missionary, a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Brotherhood, a Mason, served as the President of the Baptist Training Union. He also enjoyed singing Zion songs; he sang with the Pleasant Valley Male Chorus, The Picayune Travelers Gospel singers, and Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Gospelaires.
In 1979, The Reverend Langham accepted his calling from God into the ministry. In 1987, the Reverend began Pastor of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Pearlington, Miss. He was called to Pastor Greater Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, where he served faithfully until his health failed, but remained as pastor until his departure.
The Rev. Langham ended his earthly life to begin his heavenly journey on Thursday, January 24, 2013.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Etta Mae and Fate Langham; his loving wife, Mrs. Audrey Langham; one son, Donald Woodson; two sisters, Alberta Langham and Margel Walls; and two brothers, Wardell and R.D. Langham.
He will be truly missed by: one son, Ronald (Diane) Woodson; three grandsons, Paterous (Lisa), Nicholas and Lavar; five great-grandsons; and three God daughters, Betty Pittman of Detroit, Mich., Temika (Dwayne) Brown of Oak Grove, Miss., and Chaika Holmes of Cincinnati, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will be in the Picayune Cemetery with military honors.
