POPLARVILLE —
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at White Funeral Home, Poplarville for Mrs. Mary Ellen Hyatt, 86, of Poplarville who passed away Friday, August 27, 2010 in Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg. Brother Ed King will officiate at the service. Burial will be in the Poplarville City Cemetery.
A native of Pearl River County, she was born December 23, 1923 to Mitchell Joseph and Stella Lovelace-McAndrews. She was a retired Seamstress with Movie Star, Inc. and a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church, Poplarville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Ulysse Lawrence Hyatt; two brothers, David McAndrews and Frank McAndrews; and one step-brother, Claude King.
Survivors include: one son, David L. Hyatt and his wife Edna of Vancleave, Miss.; two daughters, Christine Pritchett and her husband James W. Pritchett of Dallas, and Georgia and Judy Hyatt of Poplarville; one sister, Robbie Bass of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Monday, August 30, 2010 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at White Funeral Home, Poplarville.
