CARRIERE —
Funeral Services for Bobby Whitfield, 80, of Carriere, Miss., who passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012, will be held Saturday, December 1, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Union Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Friday, November 30, 2012 from 6-9 p.m. at Union Baptist Church, and also on Saturday, December 1, 2012 from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
Burial will be in Union Baptist Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Bro. Buddy Sheriff and Bro. Brian Tatum will officiate the service.
A native of Pearl River County, he was a Greyhound Bus Driver and a member of Union Baptist Church. Bobby loved the Lord and he enjoyed singing in the church choir. He liked to be around people. Bobby really enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fritz Sampson Whitfield and Luvenia Bounds Whitfield; his brothers, Leroy Whitfield, L.D. Whitfield, Tom Whitfield; and his sisters, Lena Mae Mitchell, Norman Joyce Tulk, Evelyn Marie Whitfield, and Mary Linda Whitfield.
Survivors include: his wife of 61 1/2 years, Mary Elizabeth McCrimmon Whitfield; his children, Robert Michael and wife Charlotte Whitfield, William Colon and wife Carol Whitfield; his grandchildren: Charlene and husband Walt Higgingbotham, Richard Marcus and wife Karen Whitfield, William Cody and wife Jami Whitfield; five great-grandchildren: Bentley, Robby, Airick, Riley, and Joey; his sisters and brothers: Leola Spiers, Larvon Thomas, Shane Whitfield, David Whitfield, and Don Whitfield.
