Mrs. Tommye Jean Pittman Bond, 86, of Columbia, Miss., passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Miss. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at the North Columbia Baptist Church in Columbia, with the Rev. Darrell Daniels officiating. Burial will be in the Kokomo Cemetery in Kokomo, Miss. Hathorn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements, 601-731-2000.
Mrs. Bond was a member of North Columbia Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bond is survived by: sons, James Pitts (Linda) of Chicago, Ill., Dennis Pitts (Lisa) of Picayune, Miss., and Steve Pittman (Carol) of Jackson, Miss.; daughters, Susan Langston (Jimmie) of Pascagoula, Miss., Judy Sigalas (Tony) of Pascagoula, Miss., and Jynda Broome (Marlon) of Columbia; daughter-in-law, Ada Pittman of Columbia; sisters, Mary Sue Miller of Natchez, Miss. and Maureen Frierson of Edmond, Okla.; 16 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: husbands, Dewey Pitts, Johnny Pittman, and Morris Bond; sons, Gerald and Johnny Doyle Pittman; daughter-in-law, Hazle Pittman; and brothers, Buddy Spence and Dick Spence.
