PICAYUNE —
Funeral Services for James Shelby "Chief" Smith Jr., 83, of Carriere, Miss., who passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012, will be held Friday, October 12, 2012, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Carriere.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Carriere Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
A native of Picayune, Miss., he was a Manager for Gulf State Air Gas and a member of First Baptist Church of Carriere.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, James Shelby Smith Sr. and Mallie Penton Smith; his wife, Mary Catherine Smith; his sister, Flora Smith Terrell; and his brother, Arnold Smith.
Survivors include: his children, Shelby Jeanette Stockstill, and Gregory Kyle Smith and wife Theresa; his grandchildren, Devin Smith, Arlee Smith, and Donnie Lynn Stewart.
