PICAYUNE — Wilbert “Big Moe” Moran, Sr., 78, of Picayune passed away Monday, March 1, 2010 in Picayune at his home.
A native of Whitesand, he was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and a member of the male chorus.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Kisiah Moran.
Survivors include: four sons, Wilbert Moran, Jr., Carl Woodson and Anthony Wilson all of Picayune and Wilbur Lewis of Gulfport, Miss.; seven daughters, Octavia Hicks, Valerie Jones and Virena Simmons all of Picayune, Shirley Thomas of California, Karly Moran of Picayune, Joyce Kay Powell of Maryland and Tanyell Obannon of Texas; one brother, Captain Cornell Wilcox of Biloxi, Miss.; 25 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Friday, March 5, 2010 at 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Baylous Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior to service. The Rev. Bozell Langham will officiate at the service.
Burial will follow in the Picayune Cemetery.
