Mary Miller Sones, 95, of Carriere, Miss., passed away Monday, February 18, 2013 at her residence.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 22, 2013 from 10-11 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. RT Buckley and Bro. Jim Watson officiating. Burial will be at New Palestine Cemetery.
Mrs. Sones was a resident of Pearl River County for eighty-two years, a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Picayune.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Martin and Elizabeth Miller; husband, Edward C. Sones; daughter, Ann Lee; brothers, Virgil Miller and Mahlon Miller; sister, Effie Miller; and grandson, John Palmer, Jr.
She is survived by: two sons, Donald Sones of Blue Ridge, Ga., and James Sones of Carriere; two daughters, Kaye Palmer of Carriere and Barbara Hall of Belle Vue, Wash.; one sister, Alice Polk of Picayune, Miss.; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
