POPLARVILLE —
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 1 p.m. in Hart’s Chapel Baptist Church for Miss. Coretta "Retta" Fowler, 19, of Poplarville, Miss., who passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 in Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Miss.
The Rev. George Tillman will officiate at the service.
Burial will be in the Hart’s Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
A native of Poplarville, she was a student at Pearl River Community College and a member of the Hart’s Chapel Baptist Church.
Her favorite saying was “I can do all things through Christ that strengthenth me.”
She was president of the youth department, a member of Usher Board, Choir member and she loved cooking. She was a 2011 graduate of Poplarville High School.
Survivors include: her mother, Angela Fowler; father and stepmother, Randolph Jarvis and Cynthia Jarvis, all of Poplarville; her adopted father, William Fowler of Picayune, Miss.; one sister, Lynette Fowler of Poplarville; two stepsisters, Brittney Pernell and Raven Pernell of Poplarville; one stepbrother, Jessie Pernell of Poplarville; her grandmother, Emma Raine of Poplarville; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. in Hart’s Chapel Baptist Church.
Arrangements are under the directions of Baylous Funeral Home.
