CARRIERE — John Edwin Bond, 66, of Carriere went Home to Jesus on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at his residence.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 5, 2010, from 6–9 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Central Baptist Church, with Bro. Billy Galloway officiating. Burial will follow at Carriere Cemetery, under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.

John, a native of Ozona, moved here from New Orleans, La. twenty-two years ago. He worked as an Electrician at Northrop Grumman and was a U.S. Navy veteran.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, John W. and Bernice Bond; two brothers, Richard A. Bond and Joe Craft; and one sister, Hazelean Smith.

He was the loving husband of Linda Bond of Carriere; wonderful father of James Everette Bond of Carriere and Judith Duane Bennett of Carriere; awesome brother of Leonard E. Bond of Abita Springs, La., Donald Bond of Carriere, Francis G. McArthur of Pass Christian, Helen L. McQueen of Carriere and Jody A. Zanca of River Ridge, La.; and loving grandfather of Aaron Joshua, Jacquelynn, Randi, Ashlee, Tyler, Dakota and Kaden.

Arrangements are under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.
