Mrs. Mary Brian Brechtel Comeaux, 58, of Gulfport, departed this life on March 17, 2012.
Mrs. Comeaux was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert J. “Bibby” Brechtel, Jr.
She is survived by: her children, Lindsay and Kelly Comeaux, and Melissa M. Johnson; her mother, Alice Rafferty Brechtel; siblings, Bridget B. Gerdes (Bob), Gilbert J. Brechtel, III (Karen), Karen B. Massett (Louis), Alison B. Robertson (Bob), Holly B. Galiano (Norvin), Colleen B. Findel, and Shawn B. Fabra; and many nieces and nephews.
A native of New Orleans, Mary Brian was a certified surgical first assistant at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport. General surgery was her passion. She was a lover of animals and flowers, and Spring was her favorite time of year.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2012, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Long Beach, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Humane Society of South MS, www.hssm.org.
