PICAYUNE —
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 27, 2010 at 10 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel for Gary R. Smith, 62, of Carriere who passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2010 in Picayune.
Burial will be in Gipson Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Bro. Cedric Lumpkin and Bro. Brandy Parker will officiate at the service.
A native of Ceasar Community, he was a Truck Driver and a member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Aaron Smith; and his wife, Joyce Smith.
Survivors include: his mother, Easter Lee Smith of Carriere; his children, Brandy Parker and wife Amber Parker of Pass Christian, Miss., Shannon Smith of Long Beach, Miss., Sandra Bennett of Picayune, Terri Bennett of Carriere, Jama Barnes of Hattiesburg, Miss., and Michael Bennett and wife Mary Bennett of Diamondhead, Miss.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; his sisters, Janice Carver and husband Bill Carver of Carriere and Brenda Smith of Carriere; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 26, 2010 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.
