Funeral Services for Wilfred “GeGe” Nunez Jr., 89, of Carriere, Miss., who passed away Monday, February 4, 2013, will be held Thursday, February 7, 2013, at 11 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
A native of New Orleans, La., he was a Commercial Fisherman and a member of the Catholic faith. GeGe was a boat builder, making fishing nets, and he also made model shrimp boats. He was a very caring person with lots of friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Wilfred Nunez Sr. and Philomene Nunez; his wife, Joan S. Nunez; his daughter, Cynthia Nunez; his grandson, Wilfred Nunez; and his sisters, Geraldine Nunez and Evelyn Martinez.
Survivors include: his children, Bill Nunez, Don Nunez, Nina M. Nunez and Mark Winkler, Terri Brousse and husband R.J., and Michele Cialona and husband Richie; 13 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
