POPLARVILLE —
Herman R. Kahl, 82, of Poplarville, Miss., passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 in the care of his family. Mr. Kahl was a retired carpenter.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Walter and Pauline Kahl; his wife, Anna Jean Kahl; two brothers, Clyde Kahl and David Kahl; one sister, Esther Johnson; and one grandson, Gary Paul Fortenberry.
Survivors include: four daughters, Paulette Fortenberry of Henleyfield, Darlene Hyatt of Poplarville, Joanna Biggs of Brookhaven, and Tracy Penton of Cleveland, Tenn.; one son, Tim Kahl of McNeill; one brother, Jewel Kahl of McNeill; thirteen grandchildren, and thirty-five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2013 at Central Baptist Church, 20 Sones Chapel Road, Carriere, MS 39426 with interment following in the Kahl Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until time of services, Monday at the church.
