Funeral services will be Monday, August 30 at 10 a.m. at Hickory Springs Baptist Church, Poplarville for Mrs. Alyce H. Smith, 85, of Poplarville who passed away Monday August 23, 2010 in the Pearl River County Nursing Home, Poplarville. Brother Neal Breeland will officiate at the service. Burial will be in the Smith Cemetery in Poplarville.
She was born December 14, 1924 in Auburn, Maine to Ernest Tripp and Annie Pease. Mrs. Smith was a Retired Sales Clerk and a member of Hickory Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Keither Smith; three brothers, Robert Dyer, Fred Pease, and Paul Pease; and one sister, Pauline Pease.
Survivors include: two sons, Richard Smith and his wife Mary of Starkville, Miss. and Mike Smith and his wife Sandra of Poplarville; one daughter, Kathi Davis and her husband Richard of Foxworth, Miss.; two sisters, Ernestine Coffin of Vermont and Gertrude McLaughlin of Brandon, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 29, 2010 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at White Funeral Home, Poplarville and on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at Hickory Springs Baptist Church.
