PICAYUNE — Shannon Carter, 30, of Colorado Springs, Colo., passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2011 in Colorado Springs. Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be a Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Picayune. She is survived by: her parents, Ruth and Andrew Lick of Picayune; her husband, John Carter of Colorado Springs; one son, Lathan Carter of Colorado Springs; two daughters, Jacey Carter and Kynleigh Carter, both of Colorado Springs; three brothers, Andrew Lick, Charlie Lick, and preceded in death by Michael Jason Burns all of Picayune; and sister, Brandi Meece of Picayune. She had many nieces and nephews that she loved very much. Shannon loved being a homemaker and being with her family and friends. She was very creative. She would make and sell some of her work. She loved to ride four wheelers when she came home to Picayune. Shannon loved to laugh and smiled often. She will be missed by all who knew her. Arrangements are under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.
