PICAYUNE —
A Henleyfield man passed away after weeks of medical treatment for injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident.
Pearl River County Coroner Derek Turnage said the man, 50-year-old Jeff Wolfe of Henleyfield died as a result of his injuries on Dec. 1, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
The accident occurred on Nov. 11, about three miles south of the intersection of Mississippi 43 North and Mississippi Highway 26, said Mississippi Highway Patrol Master Sgt. Johnny Poulos. On that day Wolfe was northbound on Miss. Hwy. 43N when, for an unknown reason, Wolfe’s motorcycle left the roadway going over an embankment and rolling several times.
Wolfe was transported to Forrest General Hospital where he was treated for his injuries, Turnage said. The county coroner said Wolfe passed away on Dec. 1, due to complications from the injuries he sustained in the accident.
