A community complaint brought investigators to the door of a suspected methamphetamine dealer, leading to the arrest of two suspects.
Two people were arrested as a result of the investigation after a complaint was lodged that methamphetamine was being sold out of a home at 4 Cheetah Lane in Picayune, said Pearl River County Chief Investigator Donnie Saucier. Arrested were 32-year-old Angela Bryant for the sale of the substance and 23-year-old Kaleb Lambert for possession of paraphernalia, Saucier said. Both suspects reside at the Cheetah Lane home, the chief investigator said.
After receiving the tip, investigators with the Sheriff’s Department had undercover operatives make a purchase of methamphetamine from Bryant, the chief investigator said. Saucier said after that purchase, the department requested and was granted a search warrant for the home.
During the search on May 22, narcotic investigators came into contact with Bryant, Saucier said, and found paraphernalia consistent with the use of methamphetamine and marijuana, along with some marijuana discovered in Bryant’s purse.
Investigators also found Lambert in the home and learned he was on probation with the Mississippi Department of Corrections, the chief investigator said. Lambert was charged with possession of paraphernalia and a hold was placed on him by MDOC, Saucier said.
