County election officials release full, but unofficial vote count for Tuesday’s election

POPLARVILLE — Election officials early Wednesday morning released complete county voting results from Tuesday’s election. The totals are unofficial, and do not include absentee or affidavit ballots. Results include 33 of 33 precincts reporting. Turning out was 49.65 percent of the 40,391 registered voters in the county.

For president: Obama-Biden, Democrat, 3,813; Romney-Ryan, Republican, 15,836; Goode-Clymer, Constitution Party, 58; Johnson-Gray, Libertarian, 181; Stein-Honkala, Green, 28; and Washer-Toole, Reform, 22.

For US Senate: Albert N. Gore Jr., Democrat, 4,159; Roger F. Wicker, Republican, 14,175; Thomas Cramer, Constitution, 552; Shawn O’Hara, Reform, 391.

For 4th District Congressman: Matt Moore, Democrat, 3,570; Steven M. Palazzo, Republican, 14,231; Robert W. Claunch, Reform, 177; and Ron Williams, Libertarian, 1,078.

For Supreme Court District 2 (Southern), Position 3: Talmadge Braddock, 3,713; Mike Randolph, 12,642.

For Election Commissioner 2: Brenda Nirenberg, Democrat, 898; Margaret Woodson, Republican, 3,029.

For Constable South East District: Ray Merle Bennett, 3,288; Justin Faia, 2,514.
