A Picayune man is charged with fondling a resident of a personal care home, according to a press release from the office of Attorney General Jim Hood.
Brandon Rowlings, 23, of 1801 Highway 11 South in Picayune, was arrested Friday afternoon by investigators with the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit of the Attorney General’s Office and charged with two counts fondling of a vulnerable person.
The victim was a 70 year old male who lived in a personal care home where Rowlings served as a direct care worker.
“The investigation stemmed after a member of the victim’s family reported some concerns to us,” said Attorney General Jim Hood.
Rowlings is being held in the Pearl River County jail. If convicted he faces up to 15 years and/or $5,000 fine per count.
As with all cases, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
