PICAYUNE — A barrier has been installed at the corner of Palestine Road and Crosby Street. In July of last year, a vehicle said to be avoiding a dog hit the power pole at that intersection, prompting a closure of the street until it was replaced. Picayune Public Works Director Eric Morris said the barrier was designed to alert drivers to the dangerous curve.
