PICAYUNE —
A $1,000 reward is being offered for information that will lead to the arrest of the person involved in the recent robbery of a local Subway restaurant.
The incident occurred on Dec. 26, at about 6:45 p.m. at the Subway on the north side of town near the Winn-Dixie grocery store and Chevron gas station, according to an earlier story in the Item.
Picayune Police Department officers arrived and spoke with the employee and witnesses to find that a man wearing a dark colored hoodie and a baseball cap entered the store and pointed what was believed to be a handgun through a pocket before demanding the money in the register, the story states.
The employee complied with the request and the suspect then fled the store towards the gas station.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, wearing a tan colored hoodie with “Aeropostle 1987” on the back. He had scruffy facial hair and a thin build, the story states.
Assistant to the Chief of Police Jeremy Magri said anyone with information leading to the arrest of the suspect will be able to collect a $1,000 reward by calling Crime Stoppers at 601-799-CLUE (2583).
