PICAYUNE — Team members of Pearl River County’s Team CHAOS will be competing in the Bayou Regional this weekend as part of the FIRST robotics competition. The team sent off their finished robot, “Batbot”, last month, which can lift itself onto the one of the pyramids that will be on the playing field and deposit Frisbees into the goal at the same time.

One suspect has been arrested for multiple vehicle burglaries and two stolen vehicles.

BLAST SITE
An elevator well exploded Thursday evening at QUIKRETE® cement and concrete plant, located at 130 Huey Stockstill Rd., due to a buildup of propane gas, according to Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department officials. Coast Electric technicians were actively working at the scene on Thursday and Friday, making repairs to damaged electrical equipment.
