PICAYUNE — AID FOR HAITI — Picayune School District’ Security Council at the junior high andhigh school collected a number of items to help the victims of the Haiti earthquake. They collected hand towels, washcloths, nail care items and soap, among other things. Commanding School Resource Officer Lamar Thompson said the students collected the items in about two weeks. The donations will go to Haiti though Weems Chapel United Methodist Church. Thompson said the students were able to collect about 105 of the health kits.
