PICAYUNE — Isaac's effects have interrupted local postal service. MDOT issued several road closure warnings due to flooding, as a result postal service has been suspended for Thursday, August 30, 2012. Therefore the postal delivery of the Wednesday, August 29 and Thursday, August 30 editions of the Picayune Item will be delayed.
Weather permitting the postal delivery will be restored Friday, August 31, 2012 and subcribers should receive their Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday editions on that day.
Newspapers are available in the racks around town, and are available at the Item's office located at 17 Richardson Ozona Rd. until supplies are exhausted.
We regret the inconvenience this may cause our customers.
