PICAYUNE —
My name is Gina Lee, and I have a passion to serve the citizens in the Southeast District of Pearl River County as your next Justice Court Judge.
I have 2 children, Anna Kaye and Brandon. I am a Baptist. I have been a Sunday School Teacher, volunteer and I am presently a member of Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
I made the decision to run for Justice Court Judge because I know I have the proper skills, qualifications, personal temperament and commitment to service required to be a fair and impartial judge.
I am the most qualified Republican candidate with a Bachelor's Degree in Paralegal Studies from The University of Southern Mississippi, where I also took additional courses in Criminal Justice. After graduating from Picayune Memorial High School in 1986, I obtained an Associate's Degree in Business from Pearl River Community College.
I worked as a court clerk at Justice Court for over 3 years, where I had extensive courtroom experience and have had over 3 years experience with litigation attorneys.
I have gained solid knowledge of the law and courtroom procedures. I know the values of a justice system, and I am a hard worker who will run a tight ship in the courtroom.
I believe a Justice Court Judge must know how to balance the rights of the victim and the accused. When deciding cases, I will judge in accordance with what the United States Constitution and the law required.
I believe the people of Pearl River County are willing to look at my knowledge and educational background, and not look at gender as a barrier to my election.
I feel if the people are willing to take the time to consider voting and supporting a candidate, the person should be willing to communicate with the people of Pearl River County. If anyone would like to contact me, please call me at 601-569-6053.
