PICAYUNE — Pearl River Central High School's Blue Maskers' production of "Validation" was one of the winning shows which will advance to the state level from last weekend's South Miss. High School Drama Festival at William Carey University in Hattiesburg. Sixteen schools competed in the festival. Other awards for the production included the festival's Best Actress award to Amanda Campbell, an all-star cast award to Skylend Roussell, and a Production Creativity award for the show's opening dance and set up. The Blue Maskers will perform at the state festival in January competing against the following schools for the state title: Picayune, Hancock, Oak Grove, Ocean Springs, Oxford, Starkville, Corinth, and Union County.
