PICAYUNE —
Shown above from left are: Angel Tree Ornament Coordinator Jane Manuel, Highland Community Hospital CNO Mary Beth Cooper and Highland Community Hospital Registrar Eursula Goff stand by the tree with ornaments representing local children in need of “adoption” for Christmas presents. Cooper said the program was a huge success last year and people were already coming in and calling to find out when ornaments would be out for adoption. Goff is in charge of cataloging ornaments and taking in presents that are brought in for the children. Manuel said that the need is bigger than ever this year, but she knows the need will be met as it has in all previous years. She said that last year, Highland Community Hospital distributed a large amount of ornaments.
