PICAYUNE — Picayune On Stage will present “Nana’s Naughty Knickers,” by Katherine DiSavine, at the 322 W. Canal location of the theater beginning this Friday, November 9th through Sunday, November 11th as well as Friday November 16th, through Sunday November 18th. Show times are 8 p.m. on each Friday and Saturday, with the exception of Saturday the 10th which will have a 2 p.m. matinee. Both Sundays will have a 2 p.m. matinee.

The play is directed by Nicholaus Chatelain and stars: Donna Aquilard as “Sylvia Charles;” Toni Tucker as “Vera Walters;” Hattie Sumrow as “Bridget Charles;” Nicholaus Chatelain as “Tom O’Grady;” Mac Tucker as “Mr. Schmidt;” Abby Chatelain as “Heather Van Pree;” Annette Lestremau as “Clair;” and Tim Livengood as “Voice” and “UPS Man.”

Director Chatelain describes the backstory as follows:

"Bridget and her grandmother are about to become roommates for the summer. However, what Bridget sees as a unique opportunity to stay with her favorite Nana in New York quickly turns into an experience she'll never forget. It seems her sweet grandma is running an illegal boutique from her apartment, selling hand-made naughty knickers to every senior citizen in the five borough area.

“The play is very funny as Bridget attempts to handle all the excitement/ scandal. Also, there is the possiblility that her Nana could get arrested - or worse - evicted."

Donna Aquilard describes the production as a fast paced comedy that doesn’t miss an opportunity to get a laugh.

“We have all had a great time working together with this storyline and it comes across to the audience.”
