Picayune Main Street, Inc. announced its board and officers for 2013. They are: Garland Crosby, vice president; Bill Edwards, president; Tim Hart, treasurer; Gwen McCory, secretary; Lauri Stockstill, manager; Debbie Galiano; Gaye Matthews; Scott Giaise; Mary Byrd; and Ronnie Pascal.
Edwards said, “We are proud of both our board and members for past efforts and will continue to further past successes by focusing on support of our city in signage and lighting needs as possible.
“We look forward to our next event which will be the annual Egg Drop held on March 23rd, from10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Picayune Airport.”
In addition to the Egg Drop, bi-annual Street Fairs, Candlelight Shopping and other events to boost down town shopping, the organization also works on city beautification projects through support of city ordinances and facade grants to selected Picayune Main Street members.
This past year, a “Vacancy and Opportunity” Power Point presentation was put together to help display vacant downtown buildings as well as existing business to help promote our town.
