The Arts League announcement also revealed who this year’s judges will be for the show.

Rose Larrigan is this year’s judge of traditional wall hung art.

Larrigan is originally from St. Louis, Mo. She began sketching the local parks and zoo of St. Louis at a very early age. She married and started her family young but was adamant in acquiring her education. Attending Purdue University, she finished with a Masters Degree. Later she moved to New Orleans and became very involved in the New Orleans music industry. She traveled the world with a traditional jazz band, using her artistic talents on CD covers and promotional material. After her tour, she became interested in the new film industry in New Orleans. She worked as a scenic artist for the motion picture industry for many years.

Larrigan once again is a resident of St. Louis, where she teaches art to children.

Mark King is this year’s 3-dimensional judge.

King has been an active artist since childhood. He spent many years in commercial art, producing illustrations for advertising. He left that profession to pursue pottery. His recent efforts are teaching and wheel-thrown pottery production. He is a painter and sculptor, as well as a soft sculptor. He sells his work locally and his work is collected around the United States. He is owner and operator of Kings Gallery, which was established in 2001, and is now located in Ocean Springs.
