PICAYUNE — On Feb. 17, the Mississippi Office of Highway Safety Planning held a “Buckle for Life” Luncheon to recognize and award the following police officers; Lt. James Bolton, Officer Chris Wagner, and Officer Matt Roberts for their diligent work towards saving lives in 2009, by actively enforcing the Mississippi Child Restraint Law and the Mississippi Seat Belt Law. These police officers know that children are priceless, and they work hard to bring the attention of how the sound of one click can mean the difference in the sound of a child’s laughter or the silence of a parents tear drops. The officers also work to ensure that the driving public, within the City of Picayune, are safe as possible by requiring the use of their seat belts, according to Mississippi State Law. Please join us in saluting these officers for a job well done.
