PICAYUNE — Alan Smith, Pearl River County 4-H’er, was recently elected by 4-H youth from all over the state to serve Mississippi as the State 4-H Council President. He has represented and spoken on behalf of Mississippi 4-H youth at various events across the state including 4-H Legislative Day, 4-H Day at the Mississippi State football game, and the Mississippi 4-H Volunteer Leaders Conference.
Adam will soon represent Mississippi 4-H at the prestigious National 4-H Conference that will be held in Washington, D.C. This is a working Conference where 4-H delegates from all over the United States convene in our nation’s capital to meet with members of Congress to discuss issues involving youth.
Alan is the son of Mark and Debbie Smith of Picayune and attends Hinds Community College where he is a freshman and plays football.
