    As the economy improves and industries begin to invest in new facilities (or relocate existing facilities), it is interesting to look at the factors that influence the decision makers that decide where to spend the money and create the jobs. Site selection factors are aplenty.

    The newly opened Quiznos, located at 822 Highway 43 North, Suite B, in Picayune, held its Chamber Ribbon Cutting on Friday at noon.
    Owner Robert Dinnen has lived in Picayune for seven years. He cited quality ingredients and food preparation in front of the customer as reasons for choosing the Quiznos franchise, as well as his desire to invest in the city of Picayune.

    Growing up in the Picayune School System in the late 1970s and early 1980s, there was a policy that worked something like this: If you had a B average in a class, the student could have a single absence and gain an exemption from the final exam. An A average allowed the student to have two absences and still be exempt. For me, that was a great motivating factor.
